Variables
MacGillivray's Warbler
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual
precipitation of more than 431 mm and stream density of more than 78
stream miles per sq.mi. Somewhat less likely to occur in moister
hexagons (annual precipitation of 359-431 mm), if June maximum
temperature (hex. min.) is 16-21 C. Occurrence in the driest parts of
its Oregon range (218-359 mm), is associated with hexagons having
any lakes/reservoirs and with varied terrain or more than 6 land cover
types per hexagon. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or
negative association with Douglas-fir - w. hemlock - red cedar forest,
ponderosa pine forest, topographic variation, May precipitation (hex.
max.), and the extent of public land.
